On the other hand, Emir Caka conquered the region of
Izmir in the year of 1081 and founded a bey principality in this region. Caka Bey gathered
all the Turks in the region around him and arranged a powerful force. He also got the use
of the native people and succeeded in the arrangement of a navy. This wise and brave
Turkish bey started to conquer the islands on the Aegean Sea and he became the most
powerful force in the Aegean Sea within a short period of 10 years. Caka Bey got into
contact with Pecenek rulers that dominated the Balkans in order to conquer Istanbul. The Byzantine was seized within the
Turkish pincers with three claws as the Pecenek people in Edirne, the army of Caka in the
Aegean Sea and the Seljuk State on the coasts of Marmara. The state of Byzantine in the
spring of 1091 reminded of the days just before the conquest of Istanbul by Fatih. The
Byzantine Emperor had just started to apply for the help of the European Christian world.
This demand led the Crusades to move as soon as possible. However, as a result of the
intrigues of the Byzantine emperor, Caka Bey was killed by Kilic Arslan I who was the
sultan of Turkey Seljuk State in the year of 1094.
